Chair’s Welcome
You are invited to invest in Awel and own shares in a new Welsh wind Co-op. This scheme is harnessing the winds of South Wales to generate electricity using renewable technology.
Awel is your chance to directly own Welsh wind generation and take action on climate change. We are a Community Benefit Society and our project runs two 2.35MW Enercon wind turbines on Mynydd y Gwrhyd 20 miles north of Swansea. The turbines will produce clean, low carbon energy. Profits will be used to support the work of the local charity, Awel Aman Tawe to tackle fuel poverty and develop renewable energy projects in the community.
Our Share Offer Document gives you the information you need to help decide if becoming a Member is right for you. We hope you do decide to join us and become a Member of Awel.
